Pope; To Preach Religion or to Preach Hate
When we hear the world preach is it normally associated with either religious values such as a sermon or is frowned up as preaching to the masses and telling them they will all end up in hell.
We have all seen it in the street; religions of all sorts preaching to us. Telling us that the end is nigh; telling us that what we do is wrong blah blah blah.
Now for a start off before someone says anything i am not against any religion in the world; i believe that if people wish to believe in anything that what they can believe in and i will never impose on their automony to believe in that!!!!
However what gets me is that a lot of people that preach think it is ok to impose upon my personal automony to live the way i want to live life.
Jesus loves you – cool dont need you to tell me
You are living in sin – THATS MY CHOICE!
And then just when you think it cant get any worse a few days ago the Pope has the nerve to have a go at the UK for its equality laws in relation to homosexuality. Now i can understand thats his opinion; buts he is afterall the Pope; the leader of the Catholic Church. People see the Pope as a figure that they will believe his every word. Which this means a push back for gays to hide now.
FUCK THAT SHIT!
If the Pope wants to believe that he can but i say that he needs to be questioned!
Doesn’t all religion preach Equality?
“Treat others as you want to be treated” not “Treat all other that are not gay as you wish to be treated”
“Love thy neighbour” not “Love thy hedtrosexual”
“Turn the other Cheek” not ….. well you can see my point.
When does it become right that religion can legitimise homophobia?
When has it gone too far not to question?
Should preaching be stopped?
What should happen?
Until next time take care of youtselves and eachother
Love Kieran

Agreed: i am a bisexual Christian who will honestly say that i did have some issues when trying to work my faith and sexuality in unison. I sorted these through in my mind and then just as i was ready to go back to church i was advised to meet with the pastor to ensure they would…not allow me as such more accept. i was in many ways preached at which wasn’t what i was looking for – i do understand that some religious people find it difficult to accept homosexuality BUT it isn’t hard to follow your (for examply here) Christian morals and values to love thy neighbour. I have taugh Sunday School classes and don’t recall teaching it as “love thy neighbour unless they are….” – it is hypocrisy and prejudice of the worst kind by those who preach equality and fairness! Go figure because I sure can’t…
